It sounds like you have wet AMD. You need to see a retina specialist ASAP, and get a shot of, preferably, Eylea. I do not know if wet AMD progresses to GA. GA is described as the advanced form of dry AMD, and the progression is slow. I don't think dry AMD always progresses to GA if you live long enough. I have GA myself, and I have been treating it with Izervay injections, increasing my physical activity, lowering my cholesterol, eating more green leafy vegetables, and believing God for healing God of my GA. I also have leaky blood vessels caused by angioid streaks, similar to wet AMD.

I see wavy lines as well when I look at my computer or anything that has a straight line to it seems to be bending or getting distorted. I'm diagnosed with dry amd. My central vision is fine for now. Only bother is the lines, such as the TV screen borders. Tiles in bathrooms, etc. They seem to be bent depending in my focus area
