Are you getting shots in your right eye .and I'm happy you still have your vision 24 years hopefully they will come out with better treatment in the new years to come.

Absolutely! I was diagnosed in 2000 at age 40, and still have pretty good vision in my left eye. The right eye just turned wet last year.

Thank you so much for you encouragement.so in 30 years I'll be 86 years old I don't think I'll make it that's far.

Hi Jake, Everyone's response is totally different, but If you follow your doctor's orders you should be good. I have never missed taking my AREDS2 or my injections and have made it over 26 years. My sight isn;t great, but I'm still functioning.....and I had the worst stage to start with: WET AMD in both eyes. So if you are at the early stages of DRY AMD, you should have 30 years of sight. Mine may not be great, but I can still see to do my watercoors and pay my bills, but most importantly, DRIVE.
My doctor told me that if I haven't had the injections for all these years, I would be totally blind by now. That's all I know, so hang in there and take care of yourself.
