Happened to me once but I did not notice until much later. It dried up within a few days.

My sister had to get those injections. Most of the time it went well, but there was a couple of times when they hit a blood vessel and it looked horrible, but she said she wouldn't have known. I don't know if I could sit still for that after watching.

I have injections in my eyes often but for a different eye disease. AMD is a new diagnosis for me and I’m not at the shot point in the disease yet. My other shots never bother me though. I’ve had blood vessels be hit and that’s not a pretty sight but that’s about it for me.

That sounds incredibly uncomfortable! 😣 Post-injection eye pain can be tough to deal with, especially if it's your first time feeling something like that. While some discomfort is common after an injection, intense or unusual pain might be worth discussing with your eye specialist to ensure everything is healing properly.

A few members here have mentioned experiencing similar sensations, but it’s always best to check with your doctor if you're feeling something unexpected. In the meantime, have you tried using any cold compresses or lubricating drops to ease the discomfort? Hopefully, relief is just around the corner! 🌿
